Specialist Veterinary Orthopaedics
Gareth Arthurs is an RCVS recognised specialist in small animal surgery (orthopaedics). He is experienced in all aspects of small animal orthopaedic surgery; he has been a recognised specialist since 2007, and has been working as an orthopaedic surgeon since 2000. Recognised specialists offer the highest qualified level of experience, knowledge and skill that is available from veterinary surgeons.
Gareth has worked at a number of specialist centers in the UK, including Liverpool Veterinary School, Cambridge University Veterinary School, Willows Referral Service and the Royal Veterinary College, London. He has spent the last 10 years teaching small animal orthopaedics to students, interns and residents (trainee surgeons).
He is currently Chairman of the British Veterinary Orthopaedic Association, reviews manuscripts for a number of international journals, and has been an examiner for the RCVS Diploma in Small Animal Surgery (Orthopaedics).
Gareth also works as a consultant for Veterinary Instrumentation.
He also delivers CPD nationally and internationally for a variety of providers including BSAVA, CPD solutions, the Univeristy of Nottingham School of Veterinary Medicine and Science and Veterinary Instrumentation and Henry Schein in Europe.
